Movement 81 presents an audiovisual experience by Jason&Becky, exploring the science and ethics of emerging technology powered by a custom-built quantum-inspired instrument.
Step inside a live audiovisual journey where sound, science and immersive art collide.
This groundbreaking electronic music performance brings the concept of quantum computing to life inside CULTVR’s 360° dome. Blending modular synthesis, live hardware and reactive visuals, the show explores the personal, social and ethical dimensions of this rapidly evolving technology.
At the centre of the performance is a custom-built “quantum computer”, a sculptural installation that houses a powerful setup of Eurorack Modular, MPC Live, Elektron Digitone, and more. This core not only drives the music, but also powers a stunning array of generative visuals created in TouchDesigner, all reacting live to the sound.
Originally designed for smaller venues with flat screens, this special edition transforms the visual field into a fully immersive environment. The dome becomes a living system, a responsive, audiovisual space that surrounds the audience with light, data and sound, inviting them to experience the emotional and conceptual weight of quantum technology from the inside out.
Don’t miss this unique fusion of art, tech and immersive storytelling.
Project selected as part of Catalyst 360º, delivered by CULTVR with support from the Arts Council of Wales.
