OUR ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES

• Step-Free Access

  Our venue’s Theatre Dome, Gallery, Box Office, bar and cafe are all ground floor accessible, situated on a flat surface for ease of access during your visit. You can access our main entrance through our garden area, where a colourful outdoor mural and ambient lighting guide you to the venue.

• Seating in the Theatre Dome and Mobility Access

  FOR MESMERICA BOOKINGS ONLY:  Screenings for Mesmerica  are seated. Please contact boxoffice@changeworlds.org for concessions and any general enquiries.

  The Theatre Dome features a flexible and versatile layout with adjustable seating options. Unlike traditional theatres, we offer seating that can be customised upon request or to accommodate space requirements for individuals with mobility impairments and wheelchair users.

  Depending on the type of performance you are attending, our seating options may include recliners, standard chairs, benches or standing areas. Please inform us at the Box Office or at the time of booking if you need special assistance or require reserved seating on the day of the event.

• Parking

  Our venue does not have a car park, but parking spaces along Penarth Road are available directly outside the venue, on a first come first served basis. The surrounding area is typically quieter after 5pm with lots of spaces available. Larger car parks are located just a few minutes’ walk away on Penarth Road.

  To reduce congestion and promote sustainability, we recommend car-sharing, cycling or utilising public transport services. A bus stop is conveniently located just outside our venue and Grangetown station is only a ten minute walk away. For further details, please refer to our Getting Here page.

• Blue Badge Parking Space

  Our venue does not have a car park, however we have secured a single on-site blue badge holder parking space. This is located next to the garden entrance at the front of our building. This is available on a first come first serve basis.

• Concessions

  FOR MESMERICA BOOKINGS ONLY: Please contact boxoffice@changeworlds.org for concessions and any general enquiries.

  If you’re a student, disabled or a senior citizen, you’re entitled to a discount on your ticket upon availability of concession tickets. Simply present your ID card at the Box Office on the day of the event. We also offer complimentary tickets for carers.

  To book a free carer ticket you need a CEA Card or Hynt identification number and need to call Ticketsource directly to book your concession and carer ticket. Phone number: 0333 666 4466

  The CEA Card is a national card scheme developed for UK cinemas by the UK Cinema Association (UKCA).

  Hynt is a new national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres in Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants.

   

• Assistance Dogs

  Your assistance dog is warmly welcomed at our venue. If you are attending a performance, please inform us at the time of booking so we can make special arrangements to ensure a comfortable experience for both you and your dog.

• Medical Requirements

  Audience members needing to bring medicines, medical equipment, food, or drinks to manage a medical condition are welcome. If you have any concerns about bringing necessary items, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

• Strobe Lighting

  Some of our performances may feature strobe lighting effects. These contribute to the overall visual experience, but we understand they can be challenging for some visitors. If you have photosensitivity or any concerns about strobe lights, please let us know ahead of the event or check with the Box Office on the day.
